Classic sound, lots of gain on tap, two channels, $99.75 street price. Pretty good bang for the buck if you're looking for that classic 60's sound. Check it out!

Does anyone have some under-the-hood info about this? Is it capable of the sounds a "regular" muff makes?

Also: With all those knobs they could've gone the whole hog and included the wicker switches, too, though.

It's a new design and is a muff only in name. it is NOT a variant of the muff circuit

Thanks for the response! I was kinda dreading that, and now I know for sure.

Are the diodes germanium?

What are your settings in the clips?

Germanium transitors, not diodes.

How sweet the sound.

Nice clips! This pedal sounds better than I was expecting it to on bass. Definitely something for me to keep my eye on. If I'm not careful my board is going to become all EHX.

What diodes? There are no diodes. Just transistors.

Overdrive side, Gain and volume at max, bias and tone at minimum. Distortion side, Gain at 1:30, bias at minimum, volts at maximum, volume to taste.

This pedal's overdrive side reminds me of this great old tone from 1967 at a live Electric Prunes concert:

Check it out!

I tried this pedal side-by-side with the Bass Big Muff, and compared to the BBM, the loss of low end was drastic, which is why I didn't buy it. But the Fuzz sounds great on it. i think it is better suited for guitar than bass.

It is possible to lose low end with this pedal, but you don't have to on the overdrive side, you just need to dial it in properly. Maybe I'll do an on/off clip so you can hear how it actually thickens my sound a good deal.

Thanks! The only thing I don't like about this pedal is it just has too many knobs for me. Not that they're not necessary to dial in my sound, but for some reason I just hate having so many knobs on the outside of a pedal. Really does give some classic tone though.

I got to fiddle with one of these today. I liked the overdrive side a little better than the distortion. The distortion seemed to have a tendency to loose the low end where the overdrive's tone knob kept it pretty beefy. I really kind of liked it, although I didn't really get too much of a feel for all the knobs. I'm curious how similar the Germanium Overdrive is to the OD side of this puppy.
