EHX LPB-2ube vs Groove Tubes The Brick?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a chance to buy either of these fairly cheap, but not able to do a a/b comparison with my setup. So, how does the EHX stack up to the Brick as a tube preamp?

Bump! Or was this just a dumb question with an obvious answer as I suspected before asking?

The brick is a serious, studio-quality preamp/di. Its' 1/4" thru is only there to pass the input signal, not amplify it.

The 2ube is more of a 'project studio' pre & more geared towards budget users. No xlr output or phantom power.

the EHX is transformer less, while the brick has transformers.

that is where a lot of big tone lies.
