EHX Micro Q-Tron question

There are quite a few threads on this pedal, mostly dealing with volume spikes, but not with my particular issue (unless I missed one).
So here it is.

So far, the bass-friendliest tones I'm getting are in LP mode. I'm still toying around with the Q, Drive and internal trimpot, but I found a couple of settings I like.

However, the best tones (IMO) are in the BP mode, BUT there is a measurable bottom loss. So here are my questions:

1. Is there a setting in BP mode that doesn't have low-end loss ?

2. Is there a mod that can be done to avoid low-end loss in BP mode, or is it simpler to blend it (with a Boss LS-2 type pedal) ?

PS: Not looking for other pedals at this time, due to pedalboard size and budget considerations.

From my experience with that pedal's big brother, the Mini Q-Tron, the answer is no to question no.1 and the answer would be LS-2 to question no.2. BUT I use basses with a lot of output, which might have an effect on how the pedal reacts... And I tried blending, and ended up using only the Low pass setting and dropped the idea of blending.

1) You're screwed on low end in BP mode.

2) When I used it with a blender I loved it.

If you get an LS-2 or equivalent, put an octave pedal in the other loop and bask in the copious levels of funkitude.

I don't have a LS-2 at the time, but I did give it a try with the BSW's octave mode. Getting much closer to what I want, but it's certainly better with a blender, thx for the tip.

After mucho experimenting, I finally settled on these. It sounds very good (IMO) picked or fingerplayed, and OK slapstyle.

LP
Q @ 3 pm
Drive @ noon
internal trimpot @ 2h45
