well the mole is just a really simple EQ, so put it wherever you'd put a regular EQ. First?

Mole

Putting in earlier in the chain will add low end and maintain your gtrit with gain pedals after. I found putting it later in the chain after gain kind of covered up everything else and muddied all my gain. I put my after compression before gain (ODs, distortion, fuzz, etc) Experiment for you though. I treat it as more of a focus pedal. It puts a very strong presence is the low mids where I like it. It cuts off some of the harmonic and higher treble frequencies. You'll learn uses for it and love it.

It would be more of a focus pedal in that it cuts highs rather than adds lows. Pretty sure it also cuts some super lows too. It's the same circuit/different component values as the LPB 1 and Screaming Tree etc etc.

EHX says:

Quote:
Up to 20 dB of LOW frequency gain to any amp. Center frequency of 400 Hz to 200 Hz at maximum volume

I would interpret that as a bump at 300hz with an average Q. It does not cut any frequencies. Essentially the same as turning up a low mid knob. If you're bass or amp already has a low mid knob, I'd save your money on the pedal.

It's a simple one transistor boost that cuts the treble frequencies..,

I'm surprised at the lack of Mole love in this thread. It's the best dollars I ever spent on a pedal.

Unless all of the schematics I've seen online are wrong, then EHX is blowing some serious smoke up everyone's butts. I modeled it in spice and got this for a result. So the biggest boost is below 100Hz, and it does start cutting up around 3kHz.
