Well im looking for a cheap reverb pedal, then i saw this one, which is pretty cheap, and i wanted to ask you about reverbs and your impression about this one.
how is this one on bass ?
I just want to give some atmosephere to emotional bass solos/ soften my sound..
mmm i prefer to buy the pedal in guitar center
well do you have any recommendations/advices/suggestions for other pedals for me ??
Thanks

I use this pedal on my board. It's probably my most frequently used effect outside of my always-on compressor.

It has 3 settings and a level knob. The spring setting up to about 1 o'clock is great and what I use exclusively. Above 1 o'clock it has a lot of goofy artifacts. The hall setting has tons of artifacts and delay far too early in the level control to be very useful. I found the flerb setting to be silly and not particularily useful, so I don't bother with it.

I have the older version Holy Grail. Very nice. For lack of better rhetoric, the Holy Grail doesn't sound stupid, if you know what I mean by that. Some reverbs sound lame.

If you crank the reverb setting to max you lose your initial signal. I believe some call it squashing.

+1 on this. Great bang for the buck. I used one for several years....then I found the T-Rex Roommate which sounds amazing....and it'd better for what it costs. If you're in the PAC NW and wanna come pick up my Holy Grail you can have it. Not worth the bother of selling but I'll never use it.

I went for a second hand EBS DynaVerb, which would be in a similar price bracket to a new Holy Grail. Might be worth a thought.
