Question EHX POG time?

Sign in to disble this ad
OK, I've read all the reviews and I'm ready to buy a POG. Are there last minute questions I should be asking or alternatives I should be considering? Mostly I want great tracking octaves going down as low as possible, at least below A on the E string. I've tried many pedals and have never found anything that tracks as well as my Digitech BHM4, but that's a rack unit and I don't run a rack any more so I need a pedal that will do the same thing. Thanks!

Well, I don't know how similar the circuits and hardware are between the Hog and the Pog, but my Hog seems to track pretty well on the -1 octave range down to about a low F, but the tone is certainly a bit muddy and the output seems low, although I've heard that apparent volume of lower frequencies is a trick of the brain. I've had no problems with the G through A (3rd to 5th fret) on the E string though the diminished apparent volume makes it difficult to solo that frequency.

Pretty happy with my mini POG. I am in a 4 pc with one guitar, drums, box and me on bass. For some songs I use it under the lead to add fullness. Usually set at 75% +1 octave and 50% -1 octave.
