I just have to say, EHx has risen to meet a challenge from effects users who want more tonal options in these last few years. Bravo to them, and to all other effects innovators we've seen in recent years. It is a great time to be an experimental bass player.

Definitely, there's alot going on right now.

Could this be a possible contender to the moog?

What's this rather large warm brown lump in the back of my pants near my rear end...

Possibly, but I think they're also going for their own thing with the controlled pitch shifting. I almost wish they had gone after the Ring Stinger's insane design a bit more, but this looks a bit more musical/less wacky.

When I see the price on this thing, and it's under $150, I may let out a little yelp. Just warning you now.

Ok, I'm all right then.

Still, a pretty decent deal. I look forward to hearing some GAS inducing clips.

I thought that I had stopped GASing for weird effects such as ring mods after getting a synth this Christmas...it seems I was wrong

Presets could well be handy with a ring mod.
Tiny tweaks on the Moog can cause huge variations in sound.
I suppose the presets could also be used to step through frequencies in a sequence akin to the zvex ring mod thing ?

If it's less than £150 over here I'll probably check one out.

The prospective price for the DMB is around £125 so I'd imagine this will be similar.

Me too, if close-ish to £100!

I'm still GASing for a Ring Mod since before Xmas; but can't really justify the price of a Moog or Randy's Revenge and the cheaper Android doesn't seem like it would be flexible enough without Expression input. Mind you, I still can't really imagine being able to use a ring mod more than once in a set of my band's music.

Definitely looking forward to this! I've been hoping for a revamped EHX ring mod for quite a while now... already called my EHX dealer to make sure that they'll be getting them as soon as they're available.

This ringmod looks pretty cool.. allows you to use a Ringmod in ways essentially only achievable with a synthesizer. I'm interested to see how it turns out, I image the tone and tracking will be reminiscent of the *OG's, which may be a good or bad thing in some respects.

Actually the Andriod as well as most, if not all CopilotFX's pedals have expression inputs.
