EHX Russian Pedals £20 each

Sign in to disble this ad
I've found EHX Russian pedals for £20 each now I've been considering a nano small stone for a while but wasn't sure if its for me, as for the bass balls I've never heard on first person so not sure what I'd even do with one. But for £20 each you can hardly go wrong

What are the Russian version of these pedals like on bass?

Hate to say it, but you need to search...

The Russian pedals have been discussed in detail before - especially the Russian Big Muff (and its Sovtek predecessor).

Generally, they work just as well on bass as their American counterparts, and they aim to create the same effect... but they do sound different. Not hugely different, IMO, but enough that you might want to try them side-by-side. Also, there are more variations in build quality and sound between the Russian pedals than you'd ever see in most modern EHX pedals.

Fuzz enthusiasts spend their time arguing about the Russian versus American Big Muffs. The Russian is generally regarded to be harsher and bassier, while the American (NYC) is generally thought to be warmer but has less low end retention. The Little Big Muff (also an American-made Muff) is more like the American, but with tons of low end.

Yeah I know about the search...
And I wasn't planning on getting a muff cuz I already have a LBM on my board(well floor at the moment)

Is there much of a difference between the russian and NYC small stone? How would a phaser be softer or harsher? and If any one has any soundclips I'd love to here them.

If you want the link to the site selling them PM me for it cause i don't think I'm allowed to post it here? But I know you lot will correct me if I'm wrong.

Ps I only think they ship to the UK but I'll email them to find out and keep you posted, I don't want to have to drive to my mum's to pick them up again

As long as you don't work for them, or you're not the one selling these pedals, feel free to post the link.

OK seeing as I don't work for them the link is www.soundsgreatmusic.com

Valerus: Only the russian Bassballs and small stone are £20 the russian muff is £30 the rest of the pedals match up with prices that I've seen elsewhere. The Shipping appears to be £5 a pedal, they also ony appear to ship to uk. I tried getting them to ship to my house in Ireland but couldn't figure out how. so I guess this means a trip to my mum's to collect all my purchases I also need to buy a new power supply for the 1/8 jacks, that radio shack one will have to go at long last

I ordered the bassballs and small stone so I cant wait to hear them, despite never having used/heard a bassballs I figured it was worth the risk as I can always sell it on hopefully for the same moneys.
