EHX Stereo Polychorus

Sign in to disble this ad
After searching quite a bit on the Talkbass forums (like I'm supposed to), I haven't found any information about the Electro-Harmonix Stereo Polychorus from the bass player's perspective. The only thing I know (aside from what EHX lists on their website; heck, what I'm about to say is from the website, too) is that Dean Ween used it on a good chunk of "The Pod." But he's a guitar player; my primary instrument is bass.

Anyone have any comments about it (I can't find a store in Madison that has this pedal, and I keep looking)? If it matters, I primarily play a de-fretted ESP LTD B-206 6-string through a Peavey TKO 115, along with my other EHX and Morley effects.

I was surprised that there aren't any clips on TB with this pedal. EHX's website has one clip of a Bass playing through a Stereo Polychorus:

Three days later, I have received an answer from Electro-Harmonix:
Both the Stereo Electric Mistress and the Stereo Polychorus are good for bass.

Of course they'd say that - they're trying (successfully) to sell me their products. I'm no further in my fact-finding tour than I was last week.
