EHX and Turbo Rat questions

First I have the small clone and stone with the 1/8 power connection and I wanted to know if the turbo rat is the same connection ( polarity and such) second on the ehx website it said the small clone/stone for best results use a battery but could be used with external power would these sound better on the sag output of a pedalpower 2
