Question EHX USA Big Muff mods?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently got a USA Big Muff from my Dad after my other fuzz pedal broke on me. I've heard that the USA Big Muff is not that good on bass (some low end loss).

I am wondering if there are any mods for the USA Big Muff that will make it more bass friendly? If so, who can mod a USA Big Muff for bass? I do not have the money to buy another fuzz pedal, since I've used some of my cash to buy an Boss OC-2, Boss CS-3, Boss LS-2 and a Rat II.

Thanks!

That website was awesome! But to be honest, I don't know much about the parts of the pedals and how to mod/fix them myself I normally buy them already made lol

Are there any websites that offer different mods to the USA Big Muff?

There are a ton of mods out there. For yours, you'd have to be specific for what you want it to do/have that it doesn't already do/have.
Do you want to change the tone stack? Change how the signal clips?

I know this sounds VERY off topic, but can you get the same tone of a Sovtek Green Big Muff from a Way Huge Swollen Pickle? If I were to get another fuzz pedal, I'd probably save up for a Green Sovtek Muff, but since I don't have $200+, I am hoping there is a way to get the same tone from the Pickle. Just curious that's all

Just mod the Muff to Sovtek specs, it should be on one of those sites he linked you to.

That is an awesome idea! I'll definitely check out that site again to get some ideas.
