I'd say it's more like a MXR M80 since it has a separate dirt channel.

I just noticed that. Pretty expensive still, but looks like it runs on 9vDC (at least from what I can tell from the teeny-tiny picture... Might be worth looking into, but I'm gonna wait until there is more information on this pedal.

This here may replace my Black Finger - which I LOVE but I gotta admit is less than convenient.

It's raining bass effects!!! My parametric EQ is et to "woody tone" right now with all these sexy ehx bass effects on the horizon!!! what to sell, what to sell...

OK, on this one I love the name! I'm 100% sure they had a couple of guys up late at night drinking all the wrong beverages and chain-smoking, trying to come up with new pedal names on a deadline. I imagine they were told: "We have a long history of product names with visual symbolism or metaphors such as 'big muff' and 'black finger', and we have a new line of bass pedals coming out, so we want you to come up with a list of ten new names that have bass metaphors."

...So the next morning the team groggily totters into the boss's office and hands him the list. The first two or three names are obvious and safe, such as "Bass Big Muff". The boss frowns but moves on. Then he sees "Bass Metaphors" and he raises his eyebrow. The guys say "but boss, you said you wanted bass metaphors on the list!" He gives them a withering stare, but internally he knows it's a brilliant product name. The he sees "Blogger", and says "right, that's enough, what were you thinking? You're fired!" The guys protest but eventually bumble out of the office. Then the boss turns his attention to the remainder of the list. The last few names on the list are:
"Bass Boss is an A-hole"
"Hit my Idiot Manager with a Bass"
"I Hate My Job... Uhhh Something Bass"
"Dude, Shut Up, I'm Trying to Drive"
"Bass hahahahahahaha"

According to Bassexchange.com:
BMS due ?
Bass Blogger May 28
Bass Muff mid-July
Bass Metaphors due mid-June

Are these official release dates for EHX?

After we shoot Tayste in the face, I'm next in line...

This could be my DI box...

And also, I'm going to be soooo poor and hungry when I've bought all of the new EHX bass pedals

Damn EHX!

The second I think I'm done with buying thier gear they bring out a bass muff?!

I wonder what the BMS is like? To me it looks like it could just be a "mini" rerelease of the original? I hope so, otherwise I'm going to have to buy it too.

Edit: just caught the XO bms page. Quite a relief to my bank balance, but I still need that bass muff!
