Electro-harmonix big muff russian pi value?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I bought my russian big muff new from guitar center about a year ago for less than 50 bucks. I've been recently trying to get some money to buy my first decent bass like a amer. std fender or a warwick corvette so I've been selling off a bunch of old stuff I don't use. I"ve been watching ebay lately and it seems like the value of these has skyrocketed? I've seen some go for $200 and even over that. Are my eye deceiving me? What's so special about this effect? Is that how much they are actually selling for now?

It depends on what version you have. Black and green are the most common and there is a couple different of each. The black with the pi symbol below big muff is the newest and will fetch the lowest. The black with the pi symbol to the right of big muff seems to be raising in price. The green ones are a little more expensive than those.

They were discontinued recently, and the price has risen accordingly.

ahh, mine has yellow writing and has the pi symbol centered below big muff. would it be worth it to sell if i never use it, or should I hold onto this with hope that the value will raise? mine's in 100% perfect condition and I never use it.

value will probably rise. I just had all the stock parts on mine replaced and a 9v input installed. Mainly cause i love it and will carry on using it for a while, but i dont know if that will give it a drop in value or not
