Electro-Harmonix Talking Pedal

I just ordered one of the new EH talking pedals (not the talking machine stomp box) that I plan on using mainly for guitar, and was wondering if anyone here has one that they use primarily for bass?
There is a YouTube bass demo video that sounds pretty wicked, and even though it sounds a bit extreme, it could be useful on a song or two as an over-the-top effect for an intro or solo break.
Thoughts?

I've never used the new one (in fact, until I read this thread I didn't know there was a new one...but I'll be damned: http://www.ehx.com/products/talking-pedal ) but fwiw I've got one of the original circa 1980 Electro-Harmonix Talking Pedals

which is also a "vocal formant wah with fuzz"

...and it is killer on electric bass! In fact, I think it sounds better on bass than it does on guitar.
Sounds unlike anything else out there, doesn't suck low end, really cuts through a band, devestatingly cool sounding stompbox.

If the new one is anything like the original it's a must-have imho.

Subscribed, because I find EHX Next Step series very intriguing, and that vintage talking pedal looks like an armored battle tank.

Hopper - cool vid, and super cool Wal fretless! You bought the Talking Machine though, not the Talking Pedal - am I correct?

I'm loving my Talking Pedal, but as expected, I'm using it much more for guitar than bass. What a fun little pedal, and at under a hundred bucks, a great value too.
I used to own an original, and while I prefer the original's thicker, toothier fuzz and superior pedal response, I like the fact that the new model has no moving parts to wear out.
