Electronic CSF and VT Bass Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I got my VT bass and Electronic SCF pedal this week, I love both and I think that about effects I am all set ... least for now

However I am facing some issues, I was able to set up the chorus that I was looking for in the SCF as well as the nice grint tone in the VT bass, however when I engaged both , the VT seems to take over and the chorus effect basically disappears, I am not able to nail a nice chorus with the VT running at the same time. Can this be due the gain set up in the SCF? or is just the way they supposed to work? Are any of you running these two pedals together?

I am running the chorus after the VT.

Really appreciate your comments

As I recall, the manual for the VT Bass said you should run modulation and time effects after, so is it possible that the effect of the SCF is too subtle? Or the VT Bass is just overbearing?

You might consider running a volume pedal (or the new passive E-H Signal Pad) after the VT Bass to make the Chorus seem more pronounced.

Can you go into more depth regarding your difficulties?

The Signal Pad is less than $50 at Elderly instruments, and requires no power (unless you want to see the LED), so that might be just the ticket.

Having the Chorus after the VT should make all the difference. If you have the highs rolled off a lot for a SVT sound you kind of loose the chorus effect as well.
