The Electronix Thread - builder awol, owes folks money and/or pedals

Sign in to disble this ad
EDIT (John Turner) : hey folks, be aware that the builder of these pedals (now selling from zeibek.com) has been incommunicado since july 2010 while both owing folks pedals that were paid for but never sent and also having never returned pedals that were sent for service or upgrades.

i have attempted to contact him twice as of right now (8/18/10) to no avail, but as time moves forward i am going to escalate my attempts.

Ok, so I think its about time to start this up. Generally, us electronix users have been posting in the Gemnithread.

So I have the Messdrive Hybrid plus, which I absolutly love. Very thick, meaty fuzz, but can be very aggressive too. Mine was built this year, with a blue LED

I've got a regular mess drive. I love it, however can't get the full fury out of it in my dorm. It really seems to need a big amp and lots of volume to get the best sounds.

Know what you mean. I can't bring anything into my dorm. I can sneak a guitar in, but other than that.

Generally Fuzz's sound a whole lot better with lots of volume and headroom.

Love, love, love my Submarine and really enjoy my Gemini. It only gets an "enjoy" mostly because of my preference for clean tones most of the time. But it's the best pedal for dirt that I've played to date. I will likely own every MusicElectronix bass pedal in the near future. I really like Os' designs. He has the artistic vision to know what he wants the pedals to sound like and the scientific know how to achieve the goal.

Big fan of the MESSdrive Hybrid+ here. Nothing but usable tones on it.

My submarine never turns off, it is now an integral part of "my sound". I have yet to play the GeminiDrive through my real rig yet, but I'm dying to.

ive owned two submarines and a mess drive hybrid +.
they've all been favorite pedals of mine - I'd really like to try the GeminiDrive, and if os ever made a dual submarine (as was mentioned in the other thread) I'd have to get one. Just such a versitile tone shaper

NEEEEEEERRROOOOOOMMMM!!! (that's the sound Joe makes as he flies into this thread and all of it's awesomeness)

Ever since looking on ebay and discovering this Music Electronix company, I have been slightly interested in Os designs and pedals. "Interesting", I mused. Then when I saw that he had an account here on TB, curiosity killed me, and I sent sent him an email. I am every so glad I did.

I love my MessDrive Hybrid+. I had mine built with a submarine yellow paint job.

It is so deep and sounds very nice in the effect's loop of my Qtron+. (I also have a GeminiDrive, but I forgot to take pictures of it.)

But Os happens to build some of the best pedals I have ever heard, and I really enjoy the two that I have a lot. I need to try out a Submarine one of these days, and his upcoming pedal designs have me twisting in anticipation.

So, Os, when can we here so more about these two pedals?

I wonder what the weird out switch is on the Noize drive?

The Fuzz face esque one I'm really looking forward to as well.

Can't get a better fuzz pedal than the Messdrive at its price IMHO

I really am flattered..

FaceDrive is ready pending approval. I am torn between offering more gain on the top or keeping it as a classic smooth vintage fuzz. It will be around regular MessDrive price range.

NoizDrive is killing me.. I want to make it weird, but still trying to keep it being a toy where you wouldn't use in an actual gig I keep pulling it to the center and after some more trials; I notice that it become pretty sweet pedal for to be called as NoizDrive I will get there eventually

Sounds like the need for a "switch". You know, all you need to do to change a circuit is add a switch.

That is only true when switching between a couple of components or a small portion of the circuit. Otherwise, it is same as putting two effects in the same box.

Take your time, I know it will be awesome.

The Facedrive, man, I could see me wanting that too. You are not good for the budget OS

The hybrid+ is a very nice fuzz with a lot of range to it. Someone looking for a versatile fuzz unit can't do any better for the price.
