Ended up with...

I think Ive posted here a couple of times asking for recommendations for different pedals and stuff. Guess I never worded it right or what but it seemed I was pretty much on my own. I can understand that to a point as each bassist knows what they want in FX and everyone is different. I just didn't know what was out there period to look for.

Well, I had snagged a Digitech RP80 for next to nothing and though its for guitar it actually didn't do a bad job on my bass(es). I was up shopping for a new amp today and took my Fender along to test out those and some pedals. All I wanted was a nice tight distortion and every pedal I tried just did not sound good (to me at any rate) is all I can say. Next to me on another amp on display was a Digitech and after looking at it I realized it was the bass version of the guitar one I have so I ended up with a Digitech BP80...I don't know the popular consensus on Digitechs but I have been pleased with the guitar version of it, so I would bet the bass version should be even better.

Opinions on these from anyone? Does anyone else use one of these?

I like Digitech stuff, as well as DOD(same stuff, moreless). I just traded away a BP-50, as I have a Zoom that suits me better, but the BP-50 had a good sound.

I had the BP-8 for a while. It was alright.

They are pretty much an entry level multi. I also used to have the RP-80 back in the day for my guitar. If you not 100% on which effects work for you, then they are good for experimenting with new sounds and not breaking the bank.
