| Whirlwind (of all companies -- the DI and cable co.) makes a real good quality graphic EQ pedal. Its big feature is "constant Q": unlike many graphics, the width of each band doesn't overlap past its neighbor bands with small increments or decrements.
Another option is to go for a (fully) parametric EQ. If you have a bit of a grasp on how various freq. ranges contribute to your bass tone, a para. will give you really good control. E.G., if you need to notch out a super narrow feedback, you can do it with surgical precision, and little disturbance to other close freqs.
It turns out there are precious few fully parametric EQ pedals out there -- at least with the 3 bands I need. I just ordered a B.Y.O.C. -- "Build Your Own Clone" -- parametric. They're DIY kits, but you can also order them built for you.
The freq. ranges are little high for bass, but any decent tech can lower them for you. |
