I'm not completely sure if this should be posted here or under amp but i'll put it here for now.
I'm wanting an EQ adding to my setup, I love my Hiwatt sound but when I boost the mids past half way, in order to cut through in the band situation, the low end starts to become a little hollow sounding.
My problem is that my Hiwatt amp has no effects loop or pre out so I would have to go; Stingray5 -> EQ -> Hiwatt. I'm not sure whether to go graphic or parametric yet but I definitely want a rack based EQ. I'm not sure whether or not they'll work right with an instrument level signal?
Can anyone suggest any EQs to consider? I also considered a sonic maximizer might sort out the problem but that definitely won't work at instrument level. Damn Hiwatt, I love you and I hate you!
