Ernie ball 25k stereo question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey TB,

Quick question for anyone who may know... I'm looking to get a vol/expression pedal, 25k EB. If I got the stereo version, could I connect two different effects (ex. Pitchfactor and Worm) into each input as mono inputs (ex. PF into left, Worm into right), and get the expressed effect for whichever one I've turned on?

I'm thinking of simple ways to reduce boardspace, and having two effects pedals into one expression pedal would help.

Thanks!

IIRC there isn't a 25k stereo pedal (I could be wrong) but instead only a 500k stereo pedal. You could always use an A/B or A/B/Y switch to control two devices at once. I used to do this with an EBVP and the PitchFactor and ModFactor when I owned them.

Thanks mate!

This is the pedal I was thinking of....

http://store.ernieball.com/products/...1.1.0.0.0.0.0?

The switcher is a great idea... was thinking of doing that as well, was just trying to avoid having to add one to my rather tight pedal board. Plus it's an extra button I may need to kick in the effects dance, thinking of ways to make life easier. That issue you much?

Hmmm... I'm not sure how the stereo pedal is wired up, but if you wanted to use it as an expression pedal for two pedals and wanted to use both of those pedals at the same time, but only controlling one with the expression pedal (whew... run-on extremely long explanation of doom!) you wouldn't be able to without unplugging the exp jack from the other.

When I used that setup, it made life very easy to switch between which effect I wanted foot control over. There are also very small A/B or A/B/Y pedals out there which are extremely light since it's nothing but a box, switch, three jacks and (optionally) a power jack/battery and some LEDs.

Ahh, that makes... I can see where that would be bumping me into problems. I know, trying to explain what I was trying to do with grammatically coherent sentences was something of a challenge for me too lol.

I'll look more into the switch idea... thanks for your help!!
