Ernie Ball Volume JR 25k question

I have an all active bass (active EQ and pickups) as well as basses with passive basses and active EQs.

The description of this pedal says its for active electronics, so will I have any issues with my passive pickuped basses, even if they have the active EQs?

Theres someone selling one locally for a good price and I wanted to know before I went to check it out.

No. I had an active and passive bass. The active pedal works just fine with both types of pickups, where the passive pedal did not work with the active.

be careful of "tone suck" with these volume pedals...my experience with them has not been good.

And as far as tone sucking, I tried one last week at a music store, didnt experience any of this said tone sucking...

The preamp of your bass is what matters here because it buffers the signal... hence the 25K pot.

If you have tone suck using a passive bass I guess you could always use a treble bleed cap.

i run a MIA Jazz with a 9V Audere and a MIA P-bass deluxe with 18V preamp.

The pedal seems to work well with these basses and I haven't had any tone suck. However, with a 25K pot I could see that possibly with a passive bass.

Well my basses have passive pickups with active electronics, except one with active pickups and electronics.
