Ernie Ball VOlume pedal

So I get this volume pedal from amazon.com. the Jr. model with 25k because I mostly play active basses.

I hook it up in my chain in #1 position after wireless receiver box.

The ****ing thing doesn't work!!! Stepping down does give you volume. However, flipping all the way back kills all sound unless you touch the pedal, then sound comes though loud! when i say touch i mean a light tough not even moving the pedal.
WTH???

Also, no fade in volume as you decrease the pedal. Also, cuts in and out. What a piece of crap. my guitard own a larger EB volume pedal and couldn't believe what crap this pedal is. I mean basically, it's a volume pot attached to string. How tough can that be to build a working one?

So now I have to package it back up and send it back to amazon. ugh.

Sounds like yours is defective, which stands to good reason when it came from Amazon. They are pretty notorious for selling shall we say less than stellar quality products.

Personally, I would take it up with Ernie Ball. Being that it is new, it would easily fall within the warranty period. They could fix it up, or even just replace it. Having owned at least six different EBVP Jr's, and currently owning one 25k (6181) and one 250k (6180) version, I can tell you that this is certainly not the norm for these pedals to be DOA. This, coming from someone who has purposely and knowingly purchased broken EBVP Jr's, fixed them (usually it was a broken pot, or a snapped string), and used them.

Best of luck to you!
