So yeah. I never thought I would make a topic like this.

Throughout Meccamputechture by the Mars Volta what effect is he using? It's very prevalent like at the minute mark.

At first I thought it was somthing Moog LPF-tacular (Haha, at least I think he has one...or had one at some point), but then I thought it could possibly be a phaser?

I need that sound.

I believe that's phaser. And yes, that is indeed a cool sound.

With a vague sense of what's on Juan's pedalboard, I'd say that's a Mutron going into an MXR Phase 100. Bit of a shot in the dark, but a shot nonetheless.

Yes, which on certain settings sounds very similar to a phaser. This doesn't sound like an MXR phase 45/90/100 to me, much more like the A/DA.

I know he has a Mutron Phaser, meant to be fantastic.
I'd say thats what he's using.

I was going to buy one around 3 years ago on ebay for around $100 Aus.
Wish I did now.
