Possibly a rack mount tuner if you don't use a pedal one?

Power conditioner if required? I prefer stomp boxes, so I won't say effects Although Rack mount compressors can be nice!

EDIT: Oh, I didn't notice this was a poll I'll click on something

I voted tuner as they are pretty essential if you havn't got a pedal.

Tuner if you don't have/want a pedal tuner. Power conditioner if you want your plug-in bar to be rackmounted. Comp/limiter if you already have a tuner and your power plug bar figured out. Forget the graphic EQ and the racked multifx unless you are performing a primarily processing-based role in the band.

For me (if I was using a rack-mounted amp, which I'm not)...
1. Power conditioner
2. Compressor

Everything else I prefer to have at my feet.

I voted Compressor/limiter. After that a BBE Sonic Maximizer and then a tuner.

My rack has a tuner, power conditioner, and a compressor/limiter.

Neither the tuner nor the compressor are very effective without an outlet to plug them into, so I suppose that the power conditioner wins by default.

I'd put tuner as a close second. You sound much better if you're in tune but without compression than perfectly compressed but out of tune.

Power Conditioner. Most multi-effects units suck monkeyballs. Everything else can be found in pedal form.

Sansamp RPM/RBI. Distortion, preamp, and DI all in one. I love my RPM, I set it up for some grit in my signal, either mild or full on distortion.

When I cooked an Ampeg SVTII because a club I played in way back when had questionable wiring and I didn't have one, I learned the joys of power conditioners the hard way.

The amplifiers I use are dedicated power amps -- no EQ sections. So, my choice is a preamp that can get down and dirty: either it's all-tube, or emulates tubes. My current choices are the SansAmp RBI and SansAmp RPM, but I also own a number of other preamps that are used occasionally (see profile).

If I were racking a consolidated head and didn't need a preamp, then I'd probably go with a tuner or compressor.

I voted tuner, as I don't like to waste pedalboard space with a pedal tuner. A sonic maximizer is also a very close second, imo.
