Eventide PitchFactor!!!!!!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I just saw this over at HC.

http://eventidestompboxes.com/PitchFactorDemo.html

It takes aaaages to load but I think it could definately be worth it. I'm just over half way (loading) at the moment. I can't wait!

If you don't know, Eventide are the kings of pitchshifting so this could very well be the mother of all pitchshifters.

Here're some of the specs:
10 of Eventide’s signature stereo or mono pitch+delay effects:

Diatonic
PitchFlex™
Quadravox™
Octaver™
HarModulator™
Chrystals™
MicroPitch
HarPeggiator™
H910 / H949
Synthonizer™
Up to 4 voices of diatonic pitch shifting and up to 1.5 seconds of stereo delay
Studio quality sound
Guitar or bass compatible
Built-in Tuner
Software upgradeable via USB 2.0
MIDI control via USB or MIDI in, out/thru
Instant program change
Real-time control with 10 knobs, MIDI, or expression pedal
Tap tempo and MIDI clock sync
100 factory presets, unlimited through MIDI
True analog bypass
Rugged cast metal construction
Reliable metal footswitches for instant preset access
Mono or stereo operation
Guitar or line level inputs and outputs

Now let's see if you can stand the load time

So are they going to end up making the Eclipse into stompboxes?

Very

Well I saw the demo. It's pretty cool. I was hoping it would be a bit of a POG, PS-3 and Verbzilla (octo setting) killer. But I'm not sure yet. I'll have to watch some future videos.

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said it takes a while to load. Makes the load time for the Eclipse look like a couple seconds!

All the time that took to load, and you can only toggle the footswitches...

But that does sound impressive indeed.

Cool... saw it coming. What catches my eye is the 100 presets, which is maybe a clue that soon the Mod- and Timefactors will be getting a new fw with more presets, ala the release of the mf.

I'm actually really interested in this. But that demo was frustrating in how little you got for the wait time required.

I was really hoping to stay with a PT2, but it may be worth going back to the Pro to fit this on my board.

You'd think a company that has been at the absolute cutting edge of quality digital processing for so many years would have half a clue about teh internets.

Two hours of latency? It better track down to a low F# for that!

can you imagine a pedal with 2 hours of latency. you could play a line, go make some food, eat the food wash the dishes and sit around for a bit then go back to your rig to hear the shifted line. that would be funny

I think I'm sold. Great collection of effects and the harmonies sound really nice.

Bass Whammy killer? Maybe!
