Eventide powerfactor?

Sign in to disble this ad
Good morning effectorinos!

I am considering the purchase of an eventide powerfactor to replace my Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+. I am getting a little tired of having to run a wall wart for my pitchfactor. Does anyone have one of these yet? For reference I'll be running 8 pedals off of it, all are 9V center negative except for the PF, which it sounds like I won't be able to do because of there only being 7 isolated sections (outlets 1,2 and 3 are 9V or 12V) and one of my other pedals would be plugged into 12V which would be bad news (Unless I get some Markbass effects which wouldn't be bad either). So how about it... is it worth it?

-or-

Is anyone powering their Pitchfactor from a VDLPP2+?

I have one, powering three factors (including the pitch), works fine. As you say, there are seven isolated outputs, three of which are 9v for the factors, or 12v, so clearly you can't run eight pedals...unless two are low draw, in which case you can use the supplied splitter cable. Bear in mind Markbass pedals are all 12v as far as I am aware.
There are probably other options for the PF plus other 9v pedals, I haven't personally looked into them, as I needed to power more than one factor. If you really want to go all out there's always the gig-rig system. You'll never need anything else, but it looks like it eats holes in back pockets...
