Eventide Space With Mission Expressionator Has anyone had luck using an Expressionator to successfully control an Eventide Space with an expression pedal? The pedal is listed as compatible, but when I run my TRS cable through the Expressionator, the parameters on the Space go wild when I move the expression pedal. I've tried setting every parameter the same across the board on the Space in both toe and heel position on a given preset, yet they still begin to shift (seemingly at random) as I move the expression pedal. Additionally, it seems to unlock and re-assign parameters at random, basically making it impossible to use. The Space works perfectly when plugged directly into my expression pedal (a Mission Engineering EP1). Has anyone encountered similar issues? If so, have you found a solution? |
Should work fine. Couple of things to try: 1. Open Expressionator and make sure the 3 tiny CV switches are down/off. 2. Hold the set and stomp buttons for 5 seconds (you should see the three top LEDs cycle) to reboot Expressionator to default settings. If still not working: 3. Try the other two channels. 4. Try a different cable between the Expressionator and Space Let me know what happens. |
Thanks Jean - I'll go through your suggestions this afternoon and report back. I'm currently using the Hosa TRS cables you suggested to me, so I wouldn't think the issue would lie there... |
Ok... yeah, maybe just try both cables with EP1 straight to the Space to make sure both are 100% working. |
Success! I opened up the Expressionator and all 3 CV switches were in the up position (strangely it was still playing nicely with my Source Audio BEF Pro). I switched all three down, put everything back together, rebooted the Expressionator, and now it's handling both pedals perfectly. Thanks for your help with this, it definitely just made my week. |
I have 4 Eventides. Next on list is an Expressionator. |
