the chorus sounds fine to me ..
but is the 'echo' after all very useful?

i really thought of getting separate chorus and delay pedal .. but if this works out then its fine

The echo is not really like delay. It has a much shorter time than any delay pedal I've ever come across. It might be useful for you, but if I were picking up the pedal it would be for the chorus, with the echo just being an added bonus.

With that said, though, I think that the H2O is the best sounding chorus I've ever played with. If I were in the market for a chorus, that would be the one I'd be looking at.

I didn't care for this pedal at all. I found the chorus sounded thin and unatural. The echo wasn't really a usable effect for me either. Also, there was a noticable volume difference when engaged. It never made it to the first gig.

yeah .. the demo clips sounds pretty well .. although at this point actually i am eyeing at some Chorus Ensemble from Boss instead are they even a match? i think both are digital pedals right?

does in general bassists needs more chorus or reverb?

If you are referring to the Boss CE-5, I personally think it is a much better (thicker) sounding Chorus than the H2O...and It's about $100 cheaper. I'm really not a huge Boss fan but do like the sound of the CE-5.

The newest CE-5's and the echo side of the H2O are digital. The chorus side of the H20 is BBD analog. Also, I had an H20 for a while and never really liked it. I agree with everything that fishtx said about it.

Two digital pedals can still sound very different, just like how two analog pedals can.

Reverb is seldom used on bass, but chorus finds a frequent home in many genres. It was the big thing of the 1980s, after all!
