but is the 'echo' after all very useful?
i really thought of getting separate chorus and delay pedal .. but if this works out then its fine  |

It might be useful for you, but if I were picking up the pedal it would be for the chorus, with the echo just being an added bonus.
With that said, though, I think that the H2O is the best sounding chorus I've ever played with. If I were in the market for a chorus, that would be the one I'd be looking at. |

I found the chorus sounded thin and unatural. The echo wasn't really a usable effect for me either. Also, there was a noticable volume difference when engaged. It never made it to the first gig. |

does in general bassists needs more chorus or reverb? |

does in general bassists needs more chorus or reverb? | If you are referring to the Boss CE-5, I personally think it is a much better (thicker) sounding Chorus than the H2O...and It's about $100 cheaper. I'm really not a huge Boss fan but do like the sound of the CE-5. |

Reverb is seldom used on bass, but chorus finds a frequent home in many genres. It was the big thing of the 1980s, after all!
