EWS Tri-Logic Malfunction

I recently purchased an EWS Tri-Logic II (used) and it has malfunctioned. I contacted EWS and they said they could fix it, but it would cost me more than I am willing to pay.

The issue is that when I turn it on, there is quite loud static hiss (at about the volume my bass should be) and a very quiet instrument signal. It seems as though all of the controls function properly as when adjusted, the static reacts accordingly. This issue persists regardless of power source or instrument input.

It was working just dandy the other day; it just suddenly happened when I turned it on.

I really don't want to have to send it in to have it fixed, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if my description is not very good; I can upload sound clips or pictures if anyone thinks that might help.

Thank you very much!

Did they tell you what was wrong? Or just said that they could fix it?

The odd part is that it suddenly stopped working for seemingly no reason. Also, like I said, all the controls still work properly.

Can you not return it? If it's out of warranty, then either have it reapired, or get rid of it.
