The Roland EV-5 is about sixty bucks in the US. Not a tank, for sure, and then Line 6 has one that I think is about ten dollars cheaper but I've never seen one.

i've read on musician's friend that the line 6 is really cheap and will break easy.

The Yamaha FC-7 is a very sturdy and inexpensive expression pedal. They are also fairly wide, which could be good or bad. I've got two.

You may be tempted by the Alesis F2...I would say DON'T buy one because it will cause you no end of trouble.

Hope that helps

It's not cheap by any stretch of the word, but it sure is sturdy!

Can't help but be sturdy when it's based on the EB VP Jr. When I decide I need an expression pedal, that's the one I'm getting.

I'm just waiting on a reply from Ed so that I can send my EBVPJr off to him to start its new life as an expression pedal.

He'll make the mods to your pedal? Well, ha-cha-cha-cha! I have a spare passive EB VP Jr in my closet!

Just wanted to update... My expression pedal is coming back from Ed this week. He sent me some pictures of the finished pedal to tide me over until it gets here.
