Expression pedal problem with Bass POD XT Live

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, maybe some fellow Bass Pod LIVE users can quickly share their experience with me..

I have the following problem:

When I want to assign the Phaser (MOD) SPEED to the expression pedal, I'm not able to let it sweep from MINIMUM to MAXIMUM speed.. In the heel down position it's too fast. (maximum is alright)

Even if I save the program with minimum Phaser speed...
If I would then turn on the phaser it is at minimum speed, but when I touch the expression pedal, I can't go back to the very slow setting...

Is this something I could fix? Or just a drawback of the POD...???

Thanks a l

I've just started experimenting with using an external expression pedal and will get back to you after I toy around with what you're describing (unless someone beats me to it).

thanks for your reply!

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post though..

I mean, assigning the MOD speed to the INTERNAL PEDAL.. i.o.w.
using the internal VOlume/Wah pedal as expression pedal. I dont have an external expression pedal. sorry

thanks!
Markus

Gotcha - I only started messing around with the expression pedal settings once I detached my external from my DL4 since I REALLY like having the option to do volume swells. I'll test out what you're talking about both with and without the external engaged and get back to you.
One thing I did discover while messing with it a few days ago was that while set to the wah setting, the int. exp. pedal would NOT heel down to zero without providing what I would consider excessive force.

haha, yeah.. exactly was I thought myself too... stops somewhere at 6 or 8 %... you can't engage the WAH just by pressing the swith as well like on standard wah pedals. right? or is there a possibility? i don't like the fact that I have to save a program with WAH always on...

It was weird - I thought that my unit was broken because of the way the wah looked to be designed and couldn't see a way to engage it, but never tested it out. The other night when I was messing with it though, I was able to get it to work. I don't know how the mechanism works, but I was able to turn it on and off the same as any other wah pedal. I'll get back to you tonight or tomorrow after I have some time to experiment.

It's nice to talk to someone about the BOD XT Live!
