Extremely odd pedal behavior (mojo hand + analogman)

Sign in to disble this ad
so i bought a mojo hand huckleberry v2 and love it. i bought a analogman mini chorus (fixed deep) and love it. i have the huck 1st into the mini chorus. i set my huck to unity gain and engage it (keeping in mind the mini chorus is always at unity gain) and when i step on the mini chorus there is an extreme volume spike, i dunno maybe 10db. its huge. by itself the huckleberry is at perfect unity and by itself the mini chorus is perfect. why would the mini chorus produce a volume spike when the huckleberry is on. this doesn't happen with any pedal before it (dredgetone angler, mxr bod). they are all on a 1spot, and i've never had trouble with this before. they're just not playing nice at all, actually unusable together. doesn't matter what where the levels are on the huck...juice, gain, etc, stepping on the mini chorus next always produces an enormous boost. any help guys, i've never seen this behavior.

There's a Bias knob inside the chorus, maybe that'll help? There's no spike when the huck is off, right?

Weird I've had both, I think at the same time and don't recall anything like that, it does seem like it would be something to do with the impedance, a quick fix might be having a pedal with a buffer between the two.

Can't really think of what else to suggest, I'm just about to pick up a Huck V2 again as it was my favourite fuzz for years

solved. it was actually having a buffered pedal (dredgetone angler) BEFORE the huck. i forgot not to put a buffered pedal before a fuzzface or variant.

Yeah, all sorts of magical things can happen with impedance issues
