Farndurk burgs?

Hey guys im looking into buying a compression pedal and I would like it to be a custom build. I found Farndurk however all of their demos are done with guitars. So my question is will these perform well for a bass and if so what is your experience with them? Any other suggestions for companies and models are welcome however I'd like to be under 350 USD.

Why are you set on having it be a custom build when there are already tons of flavors of compression on the market?

The Farndurk is just a nice-quality clone of the old Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer. OS clones have their good qualities, and can be quite likeable, but are not really ideal for bass, nor are they up to the standards of more recent comp pedal designs.
