Hey Guys:
I've got one of the moog expression pedals, and it's kind of a cheap POS.
What other pedals are you guys using, and which are fully compatible without a lot of modding.
Thanks,
Col Monk. |

If you go that route, make sure to tell Ed at toneczar that its for moog pedals and he'll send the moog version.
Now I just want to mod mine to take a battery and send a signal as well... I was apparantly mistaken when I figured I'd never need something other than the moog version. |

For what its worth it costs the same as the moog one and is way strong built. It doesnt have any sweep settings but it worked well for me until my lowpass filter started making heinous background hiss.

Only trouble is you have to keep your foot over it all the time or you lose the setting.
Thanks for the other replies. The Tone Czar looks great, the EB pedal is bombproof, just a little expensive.
What about the F2? I've been looking at it but couldn't find info regarding the pot inside. Does it work well out of the box?

Col Monk
PS for the fund of worthless knowledge: I picked up an M-Audio exp pedal and found that it doesn't work at all. |

I would assume that it's a cheapo, however I have no complaints about its function. Maybe, as with boutique distortions, once I have tried a "real" quality pot I'll never go back to stock, but for now it seems to work quite well. |

Thanks. Does the F2 have adjustment for range or character of the sweep, or invert switch?
Looks like the most bombproof out of the box pedal out there.
I like the looks of the Tone Czar, but that's a buncha money. |

I'm building a mooger rack, so I need more than one anyway.

I was going to pop the hood and inspect the pot, but when I picked it up I remembered disassembling and reassembling it on a previous occasion, and that it was a total PITA. So unless it's really important to you I won't disassemble it again. That may also be a cautionary note to you if you bought one planning to mod it and swap pots. It's certainly do-able, but a PITA. And again, I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with its operation out of the box. |

Nah, please don't worry about it, I'm sure you have more important things to do like play your bass, which is what I should be doing.
Enough info I think, I'm going to pick one up.
Thanks alot for your input.

Found a shop thru amazon, so it's on the way.
