Hey folks. I recently bought a Qtron+ and I dig it. I'm getting tons of great tones out of it. I was wondering if anyone wanted to give up their favorite Qtron settings. Configs using the fx loop welcome as well.
Holler back if someone knows of an existing thread on this. Please don't flame this post for reasons like: everyone is different, different bass tone and styles, etc. I KNOW! I'm just asking for favorite settings to explore for fun. |

I keep it in boost mode with the gain almost all the way down(5 o'clock for me), low pass, low range, peak at 9 o'clock for me(12 for you?), I use down sweep for "clean" and up for OD. This setting seems to give me the most variety of action with the least adjustments song to song. It's very responsive to playing dynamics, you have to play to the pedal but you can get a variety of sounds just by digging in or laying back etc. |

I never use boost mode, and usually have it on LP filter with the other two knobs (forgot what they were called) at slow and low (I think those are what the settings are). Oh yeah, these settings are just when I have the drive switch going up. If I use the down drive, I just mess with it til I get a good sound that doesn't overload too much (I noticed in the down drive setting, the overload light is much harder to keep off). Usually I have to turn the peak and gain down quite a bit. My bass is active. |

I then put the peak at about 2 o'clock, and for my needs, gain at 9-10 o'clock. In order to counteract the volume boost, I turn the boost mode on.
Gives a very responsive sweep that can go from very watery and subtle to a very pronounced sweep.

Since the b:assmaster has a separate volume and fuzz control, I just leave the assmaster on, and switch both on using the qtron+. If I turn down the sensitivity on the assmaster, I can have just my bass signal going through. Turn it up, and it's very nasty. In an awesome way! |

I am also diggin perk45 and swift713's contributions. My personal fav is close to perk45's except i run the peak around 1 or so. I'm looking forward to trying joeinsprings' suggestion when I get my fuzz on later this week. Thanks ya'll! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
