FEA Dual-Band Optical Compressor?!??!! WHERE ARE YOU?!

I want this thing so bad I can taste it.. yet apparently FEA doesn't have any in stock, and there are none used anywhere online... Does anyone have any insight for me?!

They are a very small team, with a very small budget. Production is slow. It's not like there's a big supply of these pedals hidden anywhere--Frank and co. are making them as fast as they can... which is not fast at all. And that's part of the tradeoff of buying from an individual artisan rather than from a company with a factory.

I just submitted my e-mail. thx guys. I guess I didn't realize what a small company it was. It's going to kill me to hold out on a compressor for this long, but I think it'll be worth it.

I've had the Dual-Band Comp/Limiter on my main pedalboard for about a year. This thing rocks! I've been on the waiting list for the Opti-FET and/or the new DE-CL for a few months so I can throw one (gently) on a PT-Mini. I have been in touch with fea Labs a couple of times this week but still no ETA - but as others have said, they are a small boutique shop, that happen to make killer pedals. For me, as impatient as I am, they are worth the wait. Glen & Frank, if you are reading this, don't take it as me saying I'm ok to give up my spot on the list! I need my new comp!

In the meantime, I would move the dual-band to the PT-Mini for the country shows, but it's not an option as the Lava cables are ran through my board and tied down neatly - there's no quick way to make the switch. In the meantime, I carry the excessively large board with me - sometimes it's worth seeing the soundman's, or my bandmates' faces when the bassplayer's board is as big as the 2 guitarists' combined. But I can't wait to show up with a PT-Mini sporting a Polytune mini, fea Labs comp, MXR BOD and VTBass. Small, clean, and everything I require for country shows.

worth the wait imho. I've owned a bunch of different comps, FEA is the only one that has stayed.

I bought an Empress to hold me over while on the wait list. So far, it's a nice compressor, very transparent but evens out tone nicely. I'm excited to a/b it with the FEA when it finally shows up!

Actually, I don't have anyone on the notification list from before September of last year, which was the time of our most recent Opti-FET build. If you had a notification request in before that time, you would have received an email from me by now.

Yes, you should be, and we should have a build ready soon.

Just curious... When you sent the notification, did you receive a response back from me saying you were on the list? The reason I ask is because I always send a response within a few days of getting a request, and I want to make sure you got one.

A batch was completed last week and Glen is working down the list of notifications. We have been rotating mini batches of production to catch up with the requests. The next batch of Dual-Band comps should be started in week 3-4 of May.
