I had one sold it I think it's such a well built and interesting pedal I really didn't want to sell it but I just couldn't justify keeping it

In what order did you place the Growler? Right at beginning if signal chain? After other preamp or compressor?

If you use it after your compressor, the Growler’s internal compander (comp/expander) does not have to work as hard on the signal dynamics. If you are using a compressor I would suggest placing the Growler after it.

If you are using OD and fuzz pedals mostly, then I wouldn’t use the Growler at all. IMO the harmonics from OD and fuzz pedals will dominate the effect of the Growler.

The Growler is a great "clean" effect. I sometimes wish I hadn't sold mine and I've been keeping an eye open for when the rare moment one comes up for sale again.

Not using any fuzz or OD. Debating whether to put Growler before or after my Submarine.
