I love the retro design but I can't help feeling that the world has enough fuzz pedals.

Actually do I get exiled from the effects forum for saying something like that?

Oh man, and this is just months after I asked the builder if they were going to do a Dual Band Distortion-style fuzz! Heavens to Betsy! I gotta sell some more stuff, this is getting out of hand!

Here's a quote from Frank to someone who emailed us that very same question yesterday:

Quote:
The octave-up is a full wave rectifier distortion circuit. The concept is similar to the octave-up of the Green Ringer distortion and several others that use full wave rectification. Since the octave is working on the post fuzz signal it does a great job of intensifying the fuzz sound.

I like this:

"The 3-band EQ is an active two stage boost/cut design with the mid band circuit separated from the bass and treble circuit. This two stage design prevents the bass and treble controls from interacting with the mid center frequency and its level."

I want sound clips!

Considering the bulletproof-ocity and quality of FEA's pedals (I freakin love my OptiFET),...this is definitely another addition to my lengthy list of Fuzz wants,.....and yes there are a ton of Fuzz pedals,...but there is always room for MOAR FUZZ.

Do we know is this is based on an already existing fuzz circuit?,...or is it Frank's own design?

EDIT: I don't know of many OG circuits that.....

Yeah,...I've gone from somewhat interested to now incredibly interested.

I'm really digging the dual band distortion... if this fuzz is anything like the dbd, is should be a winner!

Does anyone know if the octave-up/full wave rectifier distortion circuit is the same on the dbd?

Aaaaaaaaaargh! Darn you Talkbass and GAS!
I was really interested in this a couple of months ago when it was announced, but just remembered their pedals to be quite expensive, and had proceeded to forget about it.
Now with you guys reminding me of its existence, and the lethal combination of their introductory price and my itchy Paypal trigger finger... one should be on its way shortly... (insert facepalm)
