Actually do I get exiled from the effects forum for saying something like that? |

The octave-up is a full wave rectifier distortion circuit. The concept is similar to the octave-up of the Green Ringer distortion and several others that use full wave rectification. Since the octave is working on the post fuzz signal it does a great job of intensifying the fuzz sound.

"The 3-band EQ is an active two stage boost/cut design with the mid band circuit separated from the bass and treble circuit. This two stage design prevents the bass and treble controls from interacting with the mid center frequency and its level."
I want sound clips!

Do we know is this is based on an already existing fuzz circuit?,...or is it Frank's own design?
EDIT: I don't know of many OG circuits that..... Quote: |
utilizes infrared light to control the fuzz distortion element
| Yeah,...I've gone from somewhat interested to now incredibly interested.

Does anyone know if the octave-up/full wave rectifier distortion circuit is the same on the dbd? |

| | | | Aaaaaaaaaargh! Darn you Talkbass and GAS!
I was really interested in this a couple of months ago when it was announced, but just remembered their pedals to be quite expensive, and had proceeded to forget about it.
Now with you guys reminding me of its existence, and the lethal combination of their introductory price and my itchy Paypal trigger finger... one should be on its way shortly... (insert facepalm) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
