Question On the fence over the SYB-3!

Sign in to disble this ad
I think a synth would be a really fun addition to my board. I already have the OC-2, BBM and Micro Q-tron so I've used that combo. The problem with it though is I can only really get one synth sound from it, and on top of that the volume boost from using all three is pretty big.

So, I've found an SYB-3 for 100 bucks and then 12 for shipping and it's in good condition. I've read up (used the ol' search function) on this pedal and apparently the tracking is pretty bad. But how is the T-wah on it? I can't imagine that having any problems at all so even if the synth sounds aren't great I still get a good filter out of it.

Clips of both the T-wah and/or a good demonstration of the tracking would be extremely helpful!

Thanks in advance.

its my favorite auto wah /envelope filter, i prefer it even to the Maxon AF9 , just a great sounding pedal but forget the sythns, they ae only for slow trippy bass lines as the engine is all analog so its amazing that it tracks as good as it does!
but i think 100 dollars is a bit steap especially in this day and age, wait for a bargain.

Would it be too much to ask for a quick sound sample? It doesn't even need to be good sound quality I just want to get a sense of the tracking and maybe how the filter sounds too.

The tracking is average on synth sounds, but I've fallen in love with the wah. It's really warm, yet totally in your face. Wish I could do you a sample but I'm not set up for it at the moment.

The SYB-3 is digital, through and through.

OP- I had an SYB-3 for a while, but I can't really comment on the T-Wah much- It didn't impress me enough to use it more than a few times, but there are no tracking issues with the filter modes.
