fender blender

Found this pedal as one of the recommendation when looking for a superfuzz clone. Not much discussion is found on this pedal. Any talkbass guy/gal have this pedal? found one demo on YouTube here:http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_u...?v=W955aowetqM

Let's not all reply to the post at once now...

Funny, I actually tried this pedal out today. The music store I work for had our annual inventory count today and someone pulled this Fender Blender that I had forgotten about out to count it. We had had it for like 4 years and no one's bitten on it, and I'm always looking for strange and unusual pedals to try out, so I plugged it into a Fender Rumble 75 combo and played a Fender P-Bass with flats through it. I actually kinda dug it, reminded me somewhat of the Baddy1Shoe Wayfarer I used to have, but I could use the Balance knob to compensate for the lowend loss when the fuzz was engaged. Had a nice gritty old-school tone to it. My only gripe about it was the Tone switch, which to me is completely useless. All it seemed to do was cut the volume in half and give it a farty distortion (almost like what an active bass with dead batteries would sound like).

+1. I made myself clone of a fender blender. I ended up modding the tone switch setting so it was usable in that mode. I also added a switch to turn the octaving on and off. IMO, it's a pretty nice (and unique) dirt pedal for use with a bass.

If you were initially looking for a Superfuzz clone, the Wattson FY-6 is the Superfuzz clone!!
