Question Fender Sub-lime Bass fuzz or Ibanez bass tube screamer

The title says it all. I'm looking for a different distortion and I'm stuck between these two pedals. If someone could reccomend which one to get that would be great. Or if there is another pedal I'm open to suggestions

The most distorted sound I want is one like in Hysteria by Muse. And i want something that will just add some dirt to my sound. Versatility is what i'm looking for the most.

Neither will cop that tone, if that is what you are looking for. I recommend doing some more research on both of those pedals. There are clips posted on here and on YouTube of both of them.

And as mentioned prior, the pedals are two completely different tones. I would recommend doing some research into fuzz tones, overdrive tones, and distortion. They are all different sounds, and YOU have to decide which one you are looking for, and what may be complimentary to your gear/playing style.

If you want something similar to Hysteria, try going for a EHX Russian Big Muff? Chris the bassist for Muse uses I think 3 Russian Big Muffs and combines octave, bass synth, and clean blend effects to get that sound. I'm a huge Muse fan and for the last year I've been trying to nail that tone. Check your local Craigslist or GC for used pedals.

Talkbass user kaputsport has a video of how he gets the Hysteria tone, as well as Uprising: YouTube - ‪Muse Bass Tones Vol. 2‬‏
