Has anyone ever heard one of these babies on bass?
Used search function but no luck.
Seems like a good idea for a pedal, wonder if it handles bass good.

I have been told that the circuit is almost Identical to a super fuzz. You can actually modify it to the superfuzz circuit very easily by changing out one or two components. So yea, its probably cool.

They made reissues of it and just saw one for 125€ and wondered if it was worth the try.
I'm looking for mild fuzz with some octaving. Nothing to digital or agressive.

I tryed it once from my guitarplayer. Its horrible for bass. It has a very high volume drop. Only with the tone-boost switch on it's useble, but then it has to much mid. Allso it takes away some of you bass. Use a fuzz-oct like the B:assmaster, they have a dry mix knob so you can mix in some of your original bass sound to get some bass back.

+1. i had the exact same experience using this pedal on bass. fuzz with clean blend FTW.

A/B

I A/B'd my Original Fender Blender against the Reissue, and the Reissue should mostly ignored.

The original Blender has massive low end boost that makes it sound like the best possible doom metal fuzz, with a pseudo-ringmod octave up that really comes through on chords and as you move up the neck. The Boost rendered any usable non-boosted settings into extremely bright and almost unusable intensity which would probably sound alright through a tube amp or overdrive that could soak up the extra gain/brightness, but for SS it's pretty harsh/awesome, depending on your opinion of such things. Does the "Blend" control work? Absolutely. And the Blender is not subtle in any way. It's takes your tone and completely "blenders" it; you can literally hear your notes garble and bubble out as they decay, it's pretty amazing.

The Reissue drops volume, lacks high-end articulation, and doesn't have the natural crunch and attack of the original. If you've never heard the original, then you might not mind it, but if you have, it's a no-pass.
