FINAL OD Poll- vote early, vote often!

Sign in to disble this ad
It took two previous polls (here and here) for me to really narrow down the field to worthy competition, but I think I've got a pretty good list to choose from at this point. Vote for any and all pedals that you consider excellent choices. Don't worry if you aren't familiar with all of them... this isn't to determine "the best" so much as it is to determine TB favorites.

Thanks for participating!

I posted my opinion on the b3k pedal but I think it deserves to be posted again .

I must admit that the main tonal characteristics is jaw dropping effect when i turn it on .

b3k in studio is amazing, live is perfect. Best overdrive i have ever heard.

I have a short clip i recorded: RBasic ash jazz bass with Dimarzio ultrajazz pu's - B3k - Markbass F500 - Di Out - directly into my soundcard. No eq.

Hope you'll like it .
I'm no Darkglass endorser or whatever, i just like this pedal very much. My band members and my sound engineer fell in love with it also .

Which band?
I'd be glad to drop by and hear the B3K live

What settings are you using on that clip?

I really don't remember but i think it's something about:

Blend - 12
Level - 13 (or 1 in US clock :-P)
Drive - 13 (or 1)
Boost - ON
Grunt - Raw

It much depends on bass you use and style of playing...

wow, I was expected to end up with a 'short list' of great overdrive pedals, but it looks like the darkglass really just runs away with it! Too bad it's so damn expensive. If a wad of cash ever randomly falls into my hands, though, I know what to spend it on

Man that was a good clip. Plus, with all the love it gets around here... I guess I'm going to have to seriously start thinking about the B3K.

I voted B3K because it's the only one I've played (arrived today), but I would also vote for the VT Bass.

I think the VT is more versatile but the B3K does it's thing better, is a lot less noisy at high gain settings and is more responsive to dynamics and input tones.
