Finally found something to replace my LS-2

Sign in to disble this ad
The LS-2 is the backbone of my rig, which is never a good thing with a boss pedal

So look at this

well, with shipping it's about double what you could get a used LS-2 for, but it looks cool.

I'm curious about it's TBP and buffering combo... more details anybody?

Wish somebody would make one of these that can switch between one channel fully wet and both blended. With this you get a wet/dry mix when you switch one channel off.

Yes! That's what I need. Looks kinda large...

EDIT: Just checked dimensions and it's small than by VB-jr. and looper together. Hmmm...

Looks nice. There's only so many features you can fit in the box at a given price point.

Not as butt-ugly as the LS-2 either.....

Not in the UK, here it is the same price as a s/h LS-2 and it looks much better

TaySte, I'm surprised you haven't grabbed that one yet. Are you planning to, or will it be okay if I pick it up?

No boost it seems. This gets closer to a LS-2 than any other pedal though.

I think he makes loads of them so feel free to grab it, I need a bit of time anyway got loads of things incoming and still need my verb and technically it's not going to do anything better than my LS-2 so it's not an urgent replacement just an aesthetic one.

True. I just looked through his feedback and he does have them from time to time. I'm like you though, only looking to replace the LS-2....I'm no fan of the Boss pedals' "look".

I've had four new additions this week too, maybe I'll wait. I've got him bookmarked though.

Is it really only the cosmetic issue that turns you off to the LS-2? Because it's really hard to beat and is actually more flexible than this alternative, not to mention more compact and cheaper

You could spray paint it but I guess all your friends would still know you had a Boss on your board

I like the being able to turn either side off AND the master bypass I know the LS-2 can do this but it can't do both without bending down and changing something

That's the major selling point of this one for me too. The look is secondary, but I really don't like the way Boss pedals look. I'll still have two of them on my board though.

Also it's not bigger than the boss really, on a pedal train the boss is awkward and with 3 jacks per side you can't place another pedal that close to it, this is way better as the jacks are over the slats in the board and I can't place a pedal there anyway, not until they get this new floating bypass sorted

But the point about lacking a foot-switchable mode shift is well taken. But for me, the lack of real blendability is a dealbreaker.

I'm not a huge fan of Boss pedals but for the value, a few of them are really unbeatable, and I am frequently witness to irrational, baseless boss-bashing that has nothing to do with the particulars of the pedal in question.

I don't understand where is the lack of blendability, it's 2 parallel fx loops just like the LS-2, 2 volume controls just like the LS-2
