Finally got my hands on a Tel-Ray Morley Power Wah Fuzz!

Today, Craigslist once again pulled through for me.
Got an original PWF for the rather average price of $125.
Calculating my cash spent versus the money I made on recent pedal sales, I only lost $45 of what I started with.

It's in good shape, but most importantly, works like a charm.
The Fuzz and Wah are both unique in their sound, it's definitely an acquired taste. What I love is that it also has the volume pedal ability. And while I love my Tel-Ray Morley Volume, it saves the space and an extra spot on the power strip.
So, why buy myself a fourth Morley wah, and a third distortion (or fuzz, or overdrive, whatever), and a second volume pedal? (Well, technically.)

Cliff Burton, my friends.

I'd post pics, but it'll have to wait, as my parents have hidden the camera for reasons unknown.

After playing around with it for a while, I got used to it pretty quick, and I love that fuzz.

I should probably get some sound samples up so this thread doesn't seem pointless.

So how it works on bass?

I'd be interested in hearing an older one of these- my old housemate had a newer version, and I thought the fuzz was very thin and grating for use with bass, but it could have just been that model. On the other hand, my vintage Power Wah Boost is one of my favorite pedals to put OD and Fuzz in front of- when you use the boost and wah at the same time, the filter makes the hugest, fattest, crunchy tones I've ever found and the boost has a ridiculous amount of gain on tap (you have to be very careful not to bump up the knob on the side, lest you blow out some speakers/amps!). I wish I could put all the functionality of this pedal into a small pedal form (controlling the wah filter with a pot instead), and I would use it as an always on boost/resonance filter!

I just scored one of these in terrific shape on the evilbay. I paid a little more for mine, $160 total, but that includes shipping and a new power cord. There is a guy on ebay claiming to have one still in the original package unopened. He wants $650 for it.

I have the PWB Power Wah Boost. Same model Cliff Burton used. It's sick if you engage the boost!
