Finally, I am on the "other" side when it comes to discontined pedals

Sign in to disble this ad
I was browsing Craigslist last night when I noticed that someone was selling a pedal I own for a crazy amount of money. I thought "that's weird, I didn't pay anywhere close to that". Did a search on Ebay, and they all were selling for around that amount. Turns out the pedal is discontinued.

I haven't played the pedal in years since I moved to bass. Never tried it with a bass though, but I suspect it might lose the low end. But I can't believe this pedal has tripled in price, all because it is not made anymore. Great pedal though.

I plan to sell the pedal, so I didn't want to make my post appear for a for sale ad. Sorry, just trying to follow the rules.

Actually a good move. Let us know once you've sold it though!

You can just say what the pedal is, its not against forum rules to say what you own!

It's an unwritten rule.

I have no time to sell it until the new year. Before that, I plan to use it on bass to see how it sounds like. It is a germanium fuzz BTW.

OK, the mod says it's OK.

It's a Fulltone 69 Fuzz. Good simple pedal. Works great at low gain and hi gain settings. There is little mention of it on talkbass.com. I never tried any of my guitar pedals on bass, and I have some nice ones like a EHX DMM, Line 6 DL4,MM4, few overdrives.

I've used a Dan-O Daddy-O on bass w/good results; lots of non-bass-specific boxes work very well on bass. I don't know that the DL-4 is really targetting anything specific beyond *electric instruments*.
More on topic, I snagged an Ibanez Soundtank EM-5 delay for $20; I've since seen them go for $75-100. Not selling mine- it think's it's analog.
All the Fulltone stuff I've heard has been great.
