Question First Eventide pedal for reggae and dub

Sign in to disble this ad
I only have cash for one Eventide pedal for a side dub project I'm working on... I usual plug straight in - or - I have a Jack Deville Dark echo I may add occasionally.

Which Eventide pedal would I get the most reggae dub mileage from... Currently I don't have a reverb pedal so I was thinking about getting the Space.

The modfactor and timefactor are my 2nd and 3rd choices.

Thanks guys

No, but there are a metric butt-ton on YouTube. The PitchFactor contains settings like a synthesizer, the octave down capabilities with absolutely perfect tracking, it can do chorus sans wobble (MicroPitch), and it can do a heck of a lot of sweet delay things. It's practically MADE FOR DUB.

And, oddles of preset space. And a tuner. And completely stereo, if you want.

You're welcome.

I agree. The Pitchfactor is the most versatile of the four - you get pitch, modulation, time based effects, the whole lot. You will get a ton of mileage (and then some) out of it for what you want. Just don't take it for granted, the factors require some time to get to know them, and what they are capable of. Once you have invested that time (and the cash ) you'll never look back.

Pitchfactor again. Here are some clips I did A/B/Cing an OC-2, the Pitchfactor and a Pigtronix Mothership for -1 octave glory.

I agree with the points already made here, and will add that that the sub octave effects are killer. Make sure you get an expression pedal though.
