First Pedal Build!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, the parts are on the way at least. I'm building a dual pedal with a modified DOD 250 OD running into a Shin Ei Companion Fuzz Clone. I'm so pumped. Ill take pictures and upload them here once I get my parts and everything. Anyone have any tips for a first timer? I've soldered many things before, just never a pedal.

Yes, don't start with more than one pedal at once .

Start slow, waaaay slower!

I have lots of experience with electronics, and I'm up for the challenge. Thanks for the advice though. I'm going to build them individually first and fire it up, then combine them. So I will be able to trouble shoot beeter

Probably start with an AB box and feedback loop. Then move to fuzz. I bought the books off indtguitarist.com to get started.

Are you buying a DOD 250 and modifying it? Or making the 250 from scratch?

Good choice. It is easier to start with a PCB.
