Fishman Aura Spectrum DI

A slim chance, but has anyone used or tried the Fishman Aura Spectrum DI? I know it's designed primarily for acoustic instruments and they have talked about not necessarily appropriate for bass. Their "image" database has no acoustic basses, but there are hundreds more that can only be accessed online if you have the pedal.

I'll respond to my own question. I emailed Fishman and here is their response:

"I'm sorry, but it is not going to work. We have yet to successfully adapt Aura technology for bass, and if we can work out the algorithms, the product would likely need to be released as a bass only version of the pedal. Sorry it isn't going to be a good match for your instrument."

Oh well.

I am picking one up, maybe tomorrow, but for violin/mandolin -- and to re-amp acoustic guitar tracks.

I will try my bass instruments through to hear what it does.

Seems to me that Fishman "could" produce something for bass - especially double bass and acoustic bass guitar.

They will make you custom libraries of your instrument. But maybe, as you say, it's just not ready for bass.

Nice! Be curious to learn if it does work with bass.

Not ready for bass.

Works really well with a violin, though.

Good to know. I'm not going to bother. Thanks for following up.
