Flanger - Boss BF-2B or DOD FX 72

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
I'm looking for a flanger to suppliment my sound. I've narrowed down my choices to the Boss BF-2B or the DOD FX 72. Which one is better (i.e., more quiet, natural sounding, etc). I don't have the access to either flanger so I would like your opinion before I buy online. Note: I play mostly alternative, classic rock and top 40.
Thanks,
dfw

i havent played with any of them yet (my FX 72 is on its way) but what i read about the FX72 is that its the thickest most organic sounding flanger but has a bad bypass system. i had a bf-3 which i sold because it sounded too metallic to me, dunno really about bf-2b.

i just went ahead with fx 72 because from the samples i liked it way better and there are ways to fix the bad bypass if it really turns out to be a tone sucker

I've played and owned both. I think that the Boss has a more digital, cold, metallic sound, and the DOD is warmer, sweeter, less harsh. Both are great for different applications
